Maureen FitzSimons, better known as Maureen O'Hara in America, was a child prodigy. As a person with Irish heritage, and surrounded as she was by gifted parents and family members was naturally gifted, it came as a natural. Maureen arrived in this nurturing refuge on the 17th of August 1920. She was raised by the family of her parents. The mother of Maureen, Marguerita Lililburn FitzSimons a talented contralto. Charles FitzSimons was a successful businessman from Dublin who also owned a part of the Irish soccer team Shamrock Rovers. Maureen FitzSimons was the second FitzSimons kid. Peggy FitzSimons Florrie Charles B. Fitzsimons Margot Fitzsimons James O'Hara made up this family. Maureen was an athlete at heart and loved playing athletic games. Her passion and her gift to perform was impressive. In the end, she won the majority of the Feis Awards for dramatic and acting in her country of birth. At the age of 14, she joined an organization called the Abbey Theater to follow her goal of studying classical theatre and operatic vocals.
