Maureen Denise McCormick born 5th August 1956 Woodland Hills California, youngest daughter, and the sole son daughter of Richard McCormick. Her father worked as a school teacher and her mom was a stay at home mom. There are three brothers older than her: Michael Dennis and Kevin. Beginning at a very early age, McCormick loved to sing as well as dance. She would also present puppet shows to kids in the community. She won her first contest, the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley Contest when she was just 6 years old and was approached by Pat Domigan, a talent agent of the Jack Wormser Agency. He asked her if she wanted to join the show business. McCormick was offered her first gig as a leading actress in the year 1964. McCormick was in an ad campaign for Mattels new doll, Baby Pattaburp. The following year she appeared in another commercial for the companys Chatty Cathy doll and was shortly cast in the musical the play Wind It up until It Breaks on stage at La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick auditioned for the role of the oldest daughter in the trio of towheaded girls on The Brady Bunch. The show starred Florence Henderson, Robert Reed as well as a brand new family. The show lasted for five years. McCormick's autobiography Heres the Story, Surviving Marcia Brady: Finding My True Voice was published in the year 2008. She revealed in it the fact that McCormick almost lost her virginity while on set of the series during the fifth season, when she was a victim to Barry Williams. The actress was only 16 when the incident occurred; he was 19. This would have occurred, she says. The timing of our romance wasn't right.
